The 57 year-old actress, who began his journey Sawan Bhadon in 1970, has come a long way with films like Do Anjaane, Umrao Jaan and Silsila decorating his glittering career spanning 30 years.
Every year, honors a member of IIFA the film fraternity who made significant contributions to Indian cinema and this year, Rekha will be recognized for his achievements.
"I am very humbled to be assessed ... It's a long way, and hopefully my passion and love for cinema continues to reach out to my fans. I am especially happy to be respected, when the industry celebrates the centenary of Indian films," said Rekha.
