Shilpa Shetty is upset with IPL's negative news

"It is annoying to see the TV channels flowing in IPL, for silly reasons, for some reason it gives a bad image to India How does one take sides," Shilpa tweeted.

The actress, who expecting her first child with businessman Raj Kundra's husband, said the IPL has opened opportunities for young talent and forbid it, because politicians like Kirti Azad and Prasad Yadav demanded then, does not make sense.

IPL is currently in the news for all the wrong reasons.

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has been banned from entering Mumbai Wankhede Stadium for the next five years due to the alleged actions by the Mumbai Cricket Association officials.

In another incident shortly later, the franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Luke Pomersbach has been accused of persecuting an American girl and beat her fiance during IPL afterparty in the capital.
